Then simply expand the permissions triangle, and you can still modify the permissions if you so desire. Me personally, I use terminal tohandle permissions, but if you're not a unix person, this won't work very well. It's considerably faster for me to just type chmod, chown, chgrp, and so on than it is to muck about with checkboxes, dialog boxes, and the like. And, the beauty of osx is: Both methods work, so use what you're comfortable with. But, short answer is, the stuff is still there, and can be modified just as if you used command-I on the file, only you need not move your hands from your vo controls to get the info. And, I've found the vo-right arrow works in some cases where command-i crashes <shrug>

but what if I want to change permissions?

Ok, so don't use get info. Simply vo-right arrow when file is selected (in column mode) and the info comes up and is perfectly readable.
No need for get info at all.
Try that, and see what happens.

Vo sees all the get info info. We all do have a particular issue where get info crashes vo but yours seems to need some sort of fixing. I don't know what list view has to do with it.

Listers does anyone know of a program that will do what the get info feature does in Leopard? My get info still doesn't read under Leopard. A sighted person has confirmed that the text is showing but VO isn't seeing it. I don't particularly like using list view, so a fix or another program is needed. Thanks
