When I ordered Leopard I was asked what I was running and what processor it had inside and I think that was why.

Well, after googling this, the only explanation I can find is that the cds that
came with the mac mini must be used withh a mac mini--that they are system
specific, but we can't find anything on the jacket tht says this. I know the
single dvd is NOT system specific, so if indeed the ones I sent to Carla are
system specific, we'll have to trade.

Subject: [macvoiceover] Can not install leopard

 Hello all.

I have two copies of leopard: one dvd that was purchased separately and a two-piece (I'm
assuming cds) that came with my new mac mini intel core 2 duo. The two-cd set is not just
an upgrade installation and should have all of Leopard on it. However, I gave this to
Carla so that she could install Leopard on her macbook intel core 2 duo. We chose
"install macos10 and bundled software" and restarted. When the installer came
up, we started voiceover, made sure english was selected, and pressed continue. We then
got an alert saying the software could not be installed on this computer. The macbook as
a gb of memory so that's not the problem. We also had a sighted person look at the cd
jacket and it says nothing about being only for mac minis. If the problem is with the
installation media I can trade and give her my dvd instead but can anybody explain why
this would be the problem or tell us what else might be causing this. Again, I'm quite
sure the set that came with my mac mini is not just an upgrae set.

 Thanks for any help.

 Cheryl
