Yes, bringing this back on topic, you nailed it. It's all about the specs. I went Retina iPad do to the A6X processor and the improved wireless. I went with the AT&T version because of the $10 add a tablet deal they have which I think is great. I wouldn't pay $35+ monthly for data on my tablet but $10 is more than reasonable. So my decision was made purely on the specs of the hardware. As for the iPad in general, George is responding to old comments I made about 2 - 3 years ago where I questioned the usefulness of the iPad. Back then I didn't feel it had much power and it felt just like a giant iPod that was harder to use because of screen size. Other than looking impressive I didn't find it useful. I've since revised my opinion. There's enough power now and the wireless options make the iPad a very good tool. I have used ipads and love them as a blind engineer / restorer. I'd happily own one full time so that I have a system for on site comms, etc. the whole point of the ipad as you should know is that voiceover opens up the whole premise of a touch environment. they don't come as options with or without retina displays in relation to the processor matches, etc. so basically if you're a power user like some of us here, then the retina model is the way forward regardless of the fact of the display itself. lew Edward Redfern Vintage Mower Restorer.
