Sort of like knowing that a serial killer is stalking victims in the
Bahamas...bad but irrelevant to those of us on the mainland, as John said.
But what about climate change issues? VERY BAD but trivial because of a
sense of personal powerlessness over the petroleum economy? VERY BAD but
trivial because seemingly distant in time? How does that issue fit?
