Omar: The 9/11 style of suicide attack, i.e. using a plane as a bomb, is of course very similar to Japanese camikaze tactics.


It probably would have been a violation of the Bushido warrior code (which included the virtues of truthfulness and politeness) for the "divine wind special attack units" or "tokkÅtai" to strike at civilians going to work.


The so-called Kamikaze struck at US naval vessels approaching the Japanese islands. To kill office workers, women, and children would perhaps have been regarded as a cowardly and ignoble action, unworthy of true warriors.
