Whatever Witters says about naming, etc. it may be best to refer to  
'refer', rather.
 
i.e. "I" may not be name, as we may agree, but "I" is still a "referential  
expression".
 
It's 'refer' and 'predicate' what utterances (or utterers) do. I should  
examine this more carefully.
