I am not sure that this is really new.
We "watcher" types recognized (especially during the election year) that
Bush had 'handlers' and the visual we had was that they would sit in a little
room and smack their foreheads with their hands every time he would say or do
something that was just plain strange or weird or mean or ... It is part of
who he is--part of the persona of being a 'regular' guy which has been
portrayed. Has no one read any of the comments by the people who get,
themselves
(if they are lucky), just 2-3 weeks of annual leave a year? There is a lot of
vicarious living going on through our president (there was, too, via Bill
Clinton, as well) In order to deal with his comment on this last vacation
when he snapped that he needed to have a life beyond the presidency and to
take
care of it--his aides began spinning that he was going to spend 'quality
time' with his wife. The spinning and the 'fixing up' of what he says is NOT
new.
In addition to admiring his 'handlers' (I do believe that he has the best
ever...even better than Bill Clinton's -- and his were pretty good, too--but Al
Gore's were not...and even I could have handled John Kerry better than HIS
handlers...not that he did much 'wrong', but he has done lots 'right' and no
one even knew...<sigh>)
What is intriguing, to me, is people make comments that NOW they are liking
him -- because he is making obsentity-filled comments and losing his temper.
So, here's a thought. Maybe, even, his 'losing it' is also part of The
Plan...after all, the stories of late are about how people are getting so so
upset about so much (remember the guy who was killed because of a drive-off at
the gas station--the drive-offs are occurring more and more and people are
getting crankier and crankier ... so they need either to project it onto
someone
[ie Bush and his policies] or to be directed to put them onto someone else [if
you are a Bush Handler and can find a grand target, deserved or not] OR to
have that emotion 'matched' so that it can then be better 'handled' and then
either directed elsewhere or diffused.
(if it is not part of The Plan, then I would say, via observation, that
Bush's handlers are so good at what they do that they are going to take what
the
Universe has offered, give thanks and then use it to and for their own
uses...)
(if you read what The Watchers read <g> though I was reading a book today
whereby they are called Scanners...and there are actually companies who do
this...it's where, I decided, I probably should be working...that or in the
intelligence business who also hire Scanners...as it is something I do as a
hobby...)
