As I wrote last week I’m still a bit confused as to the meaning of firstletter*
and lastletter*. What I do know is that begcaps and endcaps behave differently
in feature/ueb_update compared to the 2.6.3 release.
@Bert: What are your thoughts on deprecating begcaps and endcaps? I think we
should at least make sure there is a direct and semantically identical
replacement.

examples
When I say I never tested them I meant I have never tested the effect of
mapping begcaps/endcaps to firstlettercaps/lastlettercaps. I have tested
firstlettercaps and lastlettercaps. I believe that begcaps and endcaps should
be deprecated.

Problem: With the UEB patches, begcaps and endcaps appear to have no effect.
I mapped those opcodes to the firstlettercaps and lastlettercaps opcodes but
never had a chance to test them.
