Hi Giovanni, I have had limited experience with the 21-35/3.5-4 and found it excellent. For me though, the 28/2.8 Elmarit and 19/2.8 Elmarit set works better. I've also owned the 21/4 SA, but the F4 was limiting for me; was my favorite till I tried the 19mm. If you use flash a bit, the ROM in the lens will auto zoom flash units that communicate with the R8/9. My friend whom owns this lens uses it with the 35-70/4 and find it a great travel combo. The most recent 28/2.8 Elmarit has a telescopic hood and is supposedly better corrected for close ranges; don't have one myself.
