The latest Sprague River forecast indicates flood stage will be reached at 0900
Friday February 10 in Beatty. It is forecast to crest at 2200 Saturday night at
9.9', and drop below flood stage at midnight Sunday night.
The Incident Management Team, comprised of members from USFS, ODF, Bly Fire,
Chiloquin Fire, Keno Fire, Sprague River Fire, and Klamath County Emergency
Management and Sherriff's Office, continue to monitor and evaluate structures
at risk to flood waters. Several residents received assistance performing
sandbagging operations around their homes today.
High waters obstructing roadways exist in the following areas: Sprague
River/Drews Road, Modoc Point, East of Chiloquin, Bly, Yonna, and
Bonanza/Harpold area. Drive with caution. Slow down in these areas. Avoiding
water covered roadways is advised. TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN - especially if you
cannot see the road surface.
Sand and sandbags are still available at Chiloquin Fire Station in downtown
Chiloquin, Chiloquin Fire Station 3 on Sprague River Road, Sprague River
Community Center, and Bly Fire Station. Residents who are concerned about flood
waters are encouraged to come pick them up.
