Ron,
It's a taste thing -- and most probably a CANADIAN taste thing. Cats Can Fly
were part of a large synth pop movement in Canada that included New Regime,
Blue Peter, Rational Youth, Darkroom, Images In Vogue, Platinum Blonde (who
were, thankfully, more guitar based like Duran Duran), and The Spoons among
others. There was a second charting single called "Lies Are Gonna Getcha" which
was actually a better song. But "Flippin' To The A-Side" was the lone hit.

However, like David Bradley's friend, there's a huge 1980s Canadian music
fanbase who have been asking for this on CD. It was on a short list of things I
requested from SONY in 2002....but SONY merged with BMG and collapsed their
licensing division -- reviving it only recently. The drummer and I started
discussions yesterday about finding a way of raising money to get the album,
and its alternate 12" mixes, re-issued.
