Hey David (and friends), I have the Cats Can Fly LP on cassette (from its heyday... I was in elementary school!) and clean LP (I scored last year for $1). Listening to it, I was struck at how 9 of the 10 songs on it could have been singles... They only released the first three off the album, in running order. They also appeared on an episode of Thrill of a Lifetime, CTV's wish- granting TV show, when a high school graduating class of 6 somewhere in the Prairies wrote in requesting a prom to remember. CCF were corralled into playing an arena for the 6 (although the party eventually grew). I'm surprised you don't like 'em, Jaimie... They fit right into '80s CanCon, and wouldn't be out of place in a rotation including Zappacosta, Sherry Kean, the Parachute Club, mid-80s FM and the like.... Worst Canadian album ever made? I have a few vanity presses that would cause your skin to run for permanent vacation in Bermuda, forget crawl. And there must be a major label one or two...
