I have a contact at Juno (whose name I won't give on-list) and wrote him today with the problems people have with large mail collections. I thought the response was interesting - I edited out the person's name from the message though. (Corp.untd.com is what they use for their e-mail address domain) ================================================== Dear Leslie, We do plan on revisiting email in one of our next two major versions, and I will pass your suggestions on. Regards, XXXXXXX -----Original Message----- From: Leslie S Gottlieb [mailto:lesliepearson@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, July 23, 2002 9:12 AM To: XXXXXXX@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Large Mail Management Just something to think about: Many paid and free users have had Juno a long time - this account is over 5 years old. In that time, people have accumulated lots of e-mail they wish to save. Juno 5 doesn't handle large collections of mail well, due to its one big file structure. Perhaps the next version of Juno could support large e-mail files (remember we are saving e-mail on OUR computers, freeing up Juno/UOL's disk space, there shouldn't be limits) and be tested with large files. Thanks, Leslie Gottlieb lesliepearson@xxxxxxxx ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less!
