Seems like you're going to a lot of trouble and venturing into heavily
shark infested waters for little or no gain. Uninstalling and
reinstalling IE has caused many folks untold grief.
Is the only reason you don't want to continue on with the IE version
currently on your friend's machine because it's "Branded". Has something
about Juno in the Window Title Bar? How much more of it smacks of Juno?
You can change what comes up in the Title Bar easy enough if that's all
that's bothering you.
First, open the Registry. Start -> Run -> regedit -> OK
Second, HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Internet Explorer
-> Main
Third, scroll down to *Window Title* (you should see the same words
you see in the Title Bar in the Data column)
Fourth, double click on Window Title (this will open a dialog box)
Fifth, change or just delete the words in the "Value data" box, click OK
Sixth... close the Registry Editor and reload the browser. The new
words should now appear at the top.
