At the end of the session to Ronaldsway, Tom and I both appeared in post WWI single engined passenger biplanes. Well actually they were Antonov AN2 but the mistake is excuseable. We'd both selected aircraft codes thought to be related to what we were flying. After that I located the IVAO Text list of aircraft. That seems to invclude most of what has passed through between Orville and now. It certainly includes the code for the Lionceau that we both use for farmstrips, yet that aircraft doesn't show. Last night Tom and I had a session at Haverfordwest, where we tried a variety of codes, most of which didn't do anything. Some, like the C172, Citation and Dash 8 showed up OK.
Today I've spent a few hours trying to unravel the mystery. It appears that the mega long list of aircraft codes that the menu offers greatly outnumbers the total of 201 actually present in the IVAO_MTL folder. I've compiled a list of the codes that work, plus the aircraft they represent. It should be a help when filing a flightplan. You can at least pick a code that will show an aircraft that looks a bit like your own, on other folks' screens, if the one you're flying isn't in the list.
