Hello Lenny: I was helping someone sort out some problems with there computer a few weeks ago who had a similar problem. He did not have any software loaded to detect spy ware and viruses. I loaded SpyBot, SpyWare Doctor and AVG anti virus and scanned the machine several times until I got the messages telling me that the machine was free of spy ware intrusions and viruses. As we all know, these programs are not guarantees that you are completely free of these low-lifes who want to destroy other people's machines with viruses and who want to high jack our lives by steeling our personal information. But, as they say, "something is better than nothing." Therefore, it might not have been a problem with Sygate at all, but a spy ware program or a virus causing the problem. I use ZoneAlarm as my fire wall protection.
