James and all,

It seems as though the first screen reader to take advantage of the mozilla
family will be window eyes. What you have to understand though is that this
is not all good.

While ie has its problems, one of its strengths sadly is that many sites are
optimized for it especially highly secure sites ironically. Also, before
people start rushing off to dump ie and get other user agents, it is
important to remember that you can make and keep your computer safe while
running ie especially if you have windows xpsp2 and are lucky enough to be
able to run that combination and keep your computer up to date including
your anti virus software and your anti spyware software. It is also
important to remember that you cannot get rid of ie completely in windows
because it uses ie all over its self and many things you do in windows and
with microsoft software require ie so depending on what you are wanting to
do, you may find that it is harder to just dump ie than you would like it to
be and for a while to come yet, jaws users will have the best possible
experience on the web with ie.

so do you think it will take another screen reader such as hal or window
eyes too make thiss browser accessible? and yes we truly have been spoiled
with jaws in terms of ie. i was just hoping too find another browser
without the possible security and troubles akin too ie.
