RE: selecting items in a list

My deepest apologies to all. I must be losing it. The folks here are, of
course, quite right. If one puts the cursor on an item and hits ctrl+space,
one will deselect that item. Again, sorry for the misinformation. All that
need be done when one is on the first item that one wants to select is to
hold down the control key and move around with the arrows, hitting space on
each item that needs to be selected. The rest of the instructions are
correct, but hitting ctrl+space will deselect the item under the cursor.

Actually, I believe that if you put your cursor on the first item, then
hit control and space, that item is deselected.
