I recently was told about a program called "nod32" have not used, but
it is reported to be used by Microsoft. I believe the cost is around $40
for the program, I do not know if there is a demo available.
Another virus program is called AVG, I think it is made by a company called
Grizsoft although I am not certain of the spelling.
