Bill, In reference to your post re: Norton Anti-virus. I have used the suite; currently NIS 2004, which incorporates Norton Anti-Virus. I have not observed any marked differences in scanning speed as you cite. Do you have comparisons for this, or is this based on your own observation? Secondly, the interface with JFW is quite speech-friendly in most situations. There are only one or two occasions when I've needed to actuate with the left-mouse emulation. Most of the Norton interface is a web-like interface, so it is quite simple to use. The only oddity I've noted is when setting security levels with the slider; you need to do this with the virtual PC cursor mode turned off. But, this applies to the Norton Internet Security portion of my suite, and not to Norton Anti-Virus itself. While other programs such as Caspersky have gotten good reviews, the fact is that most corporate I.T. pros choose Norton or McAffee. Almost every instance when there is a virus attack, almost always people are referred to the Norton Symantec website for removal tools. Those things in and of themselves speak to the reputation of the program.
