Word and JFW

Hi,
I have a Word document that has two 'columns'. JFW reads across the
line ignoring that there are two columns. Is there any way that I can
get only one side of the paper read at a time and then the other side?
I think that these must not be true columns because of the way it is
being read.
I have Word 97 and JFW version 5.
