If you are having trouble with JFW 6, I recommend doing a complete repair of JAWS and manually configuring JFW. All problems I have had with JAWS 6 to date have been due to the merge program not working properly. Configuring manually solved the problems. One useful test to see if the merge could be at fault is to enter the following in the run dialog box, with JFW unloaded: jaws6 /default This runs the JAWS default settings, and if the problem you have does not manifest itself, then it's a safe bet taht the merge was at fault. This method worked for me, and I'm passing it along in case someone else can be helped by it. If you are not familiar with the run dialog box, below are step-by-step instructions for the default test. 1. Unload JAWS. Hit jaws key+F4, and when asked if you are sure if you want to unload JAWS, hit enter. 2. Then hit windows key+R. Type jaws6 /default and hit enter. 3. You are now running JAWS with the defaults intact. You can alwasy go back to your regular settings by unloading JAWS and just running jaws6 without the /default perameter. If running with the defaults clears up the problem you are having, then you can seriously look at the merge as the source of your trouble. I hope this can help someone.
