Subject: re: Narrator when JAWS goes down

Hello Chris,

If you have either Windows XP home or XP Pro, Narrator is available to =
use.

The easiest way to launch it is to do the following:
1. Hit Control + Escape
2. Press "r" to get to the run command line box.
3. type "narrator" without the quote marks and hit enter to start =
Narrator.

Note: Narrator uses your sound card to speak.

When you first start Narrator, it will display a help window which =
contains=20
a summary of how to use this very basic screen-reading utility. You =
should=20
familiarize yourself with using it before actually needing to use it in =
an=20
emergency.

Another way to simplify launching Narrator would bwe to find it in the=20
programs/accessories in the start-up menu and create a hotkey for it. =
That=20
way, whenever JFW goes silent, you can easily launch it.

Hi listers. In the past, I've seen references to something called =
Narrator
as a useful tool when JAWS crashes. I'm afraid that I'm not familiar =
with
Narrator. I am wondering what this is, where it is, and how it works. =
If
it is something that could help me when JAWS goes down and I can't get =
it
back up and running without hard booting the computer it would sure be
helpful.

Thank you,
