No problem. I am using the file Don Moore directed us to, for which I
created a desktop shortcut. When I pressed enter on the icon, Jaws stopped. 
When I pressed my Jaws hotky,Jaws launched. It seems to work fine. There
wasn't a problem with the Jaws version. This is under a subfolder of runtime 
with the folder name 9.0. Now I just have to learn how to release a hotkey
so I can reassign it.

Hi,
Jaws stop talking when i hit enter on the desktop icon. There was no unload 
message.  If it wasn't correct, then when I did the jaws hot-key it would
not reload correctly.  Be sure to pick the correct version of jaws before
going to the sight.  Also be sure to use sendto menu item.

Well, doing the exact same thing hasn't worked for me, I'm afraid. If I

it again and it works, I'll mention it. When you say it works, I take it

mean that Jaws unloaded, as far as you could tell, because you couldn't
get
it to speak anymore until you launched it again? Just checking. Because
after I've done exactly what you describe below, Jaws still speaks.

Using windows xp home and Jaws 9 I did a search on my computer for
jfwkill.exe and when it was found I pressed the applications key and
selected create shortcut. It moved jfwkill.exe to my desk top and I then
pointed to it and did a alt enter for properties and created my shortcut
and
it works fine.
