Re: Jaws OE Keystroke for direct reply to sender

P.S.

At the risk of sounding as if I'm making a joke about all these hassles on
the other list about on topic/off topic, this regular thing of capturing the
sender's address to the address book is simply an Outlook Express function
that seems to have been unfamiliar to someone. My interest was in something
that's a special Jaws trick that makes short work of all this, butting out
putting an address in the address book and then starting a new message and
putting in that new address (lots of keystrokes and actions involved here,
you'll be aware), or simply pressing, as I do, control shift R and hearing
Jaws say "relying directly to sender." And being in the message area
already, just as if you'd simply pressed Control R, though now you're
replying to the actual sender of a mailing list post, without all that
hassle. Personally, if I really want to add the person's name to my address
book, I do just as Adrian describes. That's normal. But if I have no such
intention, and don't want to do all those things and press all those keys, I
just reply as I described.

Oy, vay. this has been a very frustrating mailing list day. I think I'll
bow out for a bit. cheery-bye. (An old John Lennon joke, from In His Own
Write. Or was it A spaniard in the Works (Adrian'll get that). Or possibly
just Hard Day's Night. Who knows.

I just used Adrian's method and it worked! Granted, it is not as convenient
as the assigned keystroke but, for whatever reason, that method didn't work
for me. Anyway, it is a good alternative. Judith
