Hi Francis and Chris Dye is not used for recording CD's. The data is burned into the foil that is beneath the plastic of the CD surface with a laser. When a CD is read, a laser is also used there as well. Now!! The legitimate concern for labelling CD's is that the chemicals in most markers will eat through the plastic coating, and can break down the recorded medium. You can purchase special markers, or simply use water based markers for writing on CD's Cheers Craig Francis Daniels wrote: >Chris, > >I would not recommend doing non-commercial print labels on CDs.
