Too many extra steps in this process for me. Since I am already in Windows
Explorer when looking for files and folders, I find Alt+f and "E" for search is
much quicker to the edit field to enter the file name. I don't like having to
select from multiple buttons one or two times to get to the edit field.
Then when I'm done with the search and Alt+f4 out, I'm back in Windows
Explorer. The other method leaves me with no focus and dumps Windows Explorer.
I guess it's all a matter of what you prefer, what you're used to, and what's
fastest for you.

I assume you meant Windows-f, the windows find utility which is dreadfully
"SLOW". I'm looking for something that will index the files and locate a file

Hit Windows key C, enter on "files and folders," arrow down to "all files
and folders button," type what you have and hit enter. Tab to the window and
see what has appeared.
