I thought Windows c was used to append selected text to clipboard.  The
Windows find facility, initiated using Windows key f is reasonably
accessible, works with partial file names and will search contents if
required.

Hit Windows key C, enter on "files and folders," arrow down to "all
files and folders button," type what you have and hit enter. Tab to the
window and see what has appeared.

"quickly" find a file given a partial file name.  I am using XP and
