Your bad experiences are noted and I can see why you might shy away from doing it in the future. As for your message to Mr. Durbur I guess I was put off by the tone of your message rather than the actual content. If my wife were to laugh at a particular suggestion I would consider that not to be relevant to the discussion and not post it. All that having been said it is certainly a procedure that deserves care, but well within the capabilities of anyone with a reasonable amount of computer expertise -- irrespective of their visual acuity. As for partitioning drives while blind, it is a risky business without someone there to make sure you don't do anything wrong. Redefining partition sizes can render your data useless after copying it or imaging it over. Not to knock who's doing it, I wouldn't recommend playing with such powerful tools because this is dangerous for obvious reasons. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Farfar Carlson" <dgcarlson@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, March 04, 2011 11:16 AM Subject: Re: Disk partitioning software that is accessible using JAWS > John Martin, > > Not sure where you're getting your validation or your approach to > answering > questions.
