In this case the PC cursor works.  I think it depends on what kind of control 
the read only box is.

when u are in the read-only edit wouldn't u need to use the jaws curser to
access that info?

Here are instructions for MS Outlook 2007, but it may work in 2003.

To see which e-mail client sent the message while using Microsoft Office
Outlook 2007 you need to do the following focus on the message in the list
of messages, press your up arrow key more than likely one time and you
should hear message options, once you hear this you should press enter. The
message options dialog should open. Once the message options dialog has
focused you should tab around until you hear Internet headers read-only
edit. Once you're in the read-only edit field you should search for "
X-Mailer".
