is, that I found an answer to a little question that's been haunting me for
absolutely ages! as to why I stopped hearing some NewTextEvent alerts in an
app called CCleaner, that I set up ages ago, to simply read me the time
taken to execute the clean, and the amount of junk removed!
There it was! bold as brass, unchecked in there! I certainly do not
remember, ever, unchecking it!
Checking it again, did make it work!
So, my sincerest thanks to both of you for solving this little personal
conundrum for me!

Yes, there is a bug in that JAWS utility, when there is a space in the
config name it always thinks the configuration is disabled. You can look
at the .jcf file to see the real status.

in the Manage Application settings jaws dialog, Outlook 2013 is
unchecked,
which would make sense. When I chedck that, and click ok, then go back in
there immediately, it is unchecked again. It won't stay checked.
Does anybody have any idea what could lead to that?
The jsb file does exist.
