You can demonstrate this by switching to a 32K screen mode and witnessing the weird colours, then grabbing the screen using !Paint or something and switching back to a 'normal' mode. The screengrab will still display the correct colour palette etc (and not the weird colours), highlighting that it's only the visual display that's swapped.
