Start by F12 and then *CDFS then *CDDEVICES I'll assume this will come up with no devices found. If CDFSsoftATAPI is active, that should detect IDE CD/DVD drives automatically, and no other modules should be needed except CDFS itself and CDFSfiler (which are both active from what you've said). Can't recall off the top of my head if they're in OS5, but CDFSdriver and CDFSresources should probably both be active too: *RMreinit CDFSdriver *RMreinit CDFSresources Almost certainly this will all have been OK, which leaves the physical items (drive, cable). I'd start by checking Master/slave settings on the CD/DVD drive - it probably wants to be slave, but have a look at what harddrive(s) you have installed, and how many cables. If one cable, you probably want harddrive as Master, and CD drive as Slave. Make sure not to use CableSelect, as it rarely works. Master/slave is set via jumpers on the back of drives. If two cables, put both devices as master, unless you have 2 harddrives in which case you can either have both HDDs as Master/Slave on one cable, and CD as Master on the other, or HDD+CD (as previous para) and secondary harddrive as Master on second cable. If it still doesn't start working, then as others have said, test drive in other computer(s) with known working CDFS setups (I suspect you don't have a PC to hand which would be the other testbed).
