Hi John,
        I had a look at Mark's ISA2000/Windows 2003 server last night.
In short, the Windows 2003 server pre-installation to ISA setup was
skipped. This is a good learning example for everyone who is planning
to install ISA 2000. I hope Mark doesn't mind if I share my discovery
information, to point out how someone can easily receive weird event
logs and this is no way flamming or bashing Mark in anyway!
---

ISA with DNS, DHCP services.

Both Internal and External NIC - Services and Protocols enabled

Service Advertising Protocol
Microsoft TCP/IP version 6
Network Monitor Driver
NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Trasport Protocol
Client Service for Netware
Client for Microsoft Networks
QoS Packet Scheduler
File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

---
I don't think ISA's group would have figured this issue since there were
mulitlple issues here that wouldn't help in pin-pointing the cause of
the failure.

I would highly recommend reading Jim Harrison article before installing
your ISA 2000.

And definitely don't for get ISA awesome resource and books

I understand that Mark rushed into installing ISA but it DOES pays to
take the time to read.

So, you are saying you do not have an Active Directory? Those errors
indicate a problem contacting a Domain Controller for Kerberos
authentication.

The fact that your DNS service is failing both simple and recursive
indication a configuration error.

While I am more than willing to go in on TS and review, I simply do not
have the time right now.
