I use Alsa, i have also tried with esd and aRTs, all have the same
problem. Should i change the configuration of alsa to enable this?
Also check if 'lock' stuff is enabled in either of the applications
that are trying to use the sound. I remember a few years back I had a
similar problem due to locking.
What is locking? i dont see any such option in the applications
