I can arrange the following
a) A hall large enough to accommodate the attendees (preferrably IIT
auditorium since it is cheap and good)
Cognizant Auditorium (TCO, Thoraipakkam...15 min from IIT-Madras). Seating
capacity upto 200.
b) A video camera and a cameraman
Yes, Not a professional grade though.
c) A sound system that is really good. The acoustics of the room
should be such that it supports a large number of people hearing
clearly what the speaker is saying.
The auditorium has a very good Sound System.
d) A projector that can maker sure that people sitting in the last row
can clearly read the text
Yes, comes with the Auditorium.
e) Other logistics that I don't remember
I don't remember them either.
Let me know the dates in Advance (1 week) so that I can confirm your talk.

You are really making me blush.
Since I have a long way to go as regards preparation and I am fighting
between devil and deep sea as my hardware is giving me trouble, my
work is sufferring big time and personal commitments wasted some time...
I don't have words to thank you. That is all I can say. I still feel that
video is a luxury; the only reason I am stressing for that is that it
can be of use for those folks in the US and elsewhere and also for
the general public . If someone sees the video from youtube, eefoof or
elsewhere and gets interested in ilugc, I think it will be great.
You have made me redouble my efforts and get ready fast.
We also have to plan for a date that is convenient for folks to book
their air and bus/train tickets and even for localites to become somewhat
mentally prepared.
I think that is important, since you should be relaxed in order to absorb
the maximum. :-)
Ok, I feel bad again that I have not made enough progress. I am sure
I will get back on track pretty soon.
Thanks again.
regards,
Girish
