With just three commands, you can do wonders.
losetup /dev/loop0 lunar-1.5.1-i686.iso
mount /dev/loop0 /mnt -o ro
chroot /mnt /sbin/lunar-install
Just replace the /sbin/lunar-install command with an appropriate one,
that is all.
chroot is very powerful! In fact you can run linux inside linux very
easily using chroot
whereas uml is somewhat painful.
This is possible in distros like fedora, where u can use the usb to
boot from a USB. Fedora comes with a USB boot image. if such a image
exists just dd the image into a USB and lo u have a bootable USB, by
passing certain arguments to the kernel u can install of the ISO
images on the HDD.
Debian also gives a very easy procedure for USB keyflash boot. It is
really very straightforward.
I am looking out how to do it for *BSD.
