Anyone tried installing Ubuntu/Linux Mint on an Intel Atom cpu based
system? FWIW, the motherboard model is D945GCLF.
I have copied the LiveCD iso, Ubuntu 8.04.1 and Linux Mint 5r1 (using a
special tool unetbootin-eeeubuntu-linux-238) to a 1GB USB pen drive.
The system boots from the LiveUSB, grub loads with it's menu. It boots
the kernel but then the system drops into an "initramfs" prompt with a
busybox prompt.
I have also verified the LiveUSB pen drive on my ASUS eeePC, the netbook
boots with both the Live distros.
Any ideas/clues what could be wrong?
