the perkins way would be much faster we should probably have both.
so now I have my icon.
when it reads some files it pronounces quotes as "back quotes" i cant find any way to control the ammount of punctuation spoken. also how do I get to change quick recording settings. I can get to change recording settings but not quick recording settings. i have used disk drive mode I wish there was a faster way to transfer data it would take a long time to move say 10gb over but it's cool to have the option. so the only way to look through mp3 files without id3 tags is with file explorer? that's ok just checking. Wish i had more knowledge about console mode before I try it. how do you get out of it cansel i guess?
some things i'd like to see in the bookshelf when reading books
1 to navigate by percentage in the file.
2 to be able to see what page you are on or what percentage in the file you're at. I got used to the percentage using the bookport and then the roadrunner before that. What do people think of th ecarrying case? Do any of you wish there was a flap covering the buttons, or is leaving them open ok.

Initially, I was thinking this way as well, but it seems even more
difficult to me with dots 1, 2, and 3, being on 7, 4, and 1 and 4, 5,
and 6 being on 9, 6, and 3 now that I understand how it works. I don't
know if this will help you at all, but I visualize the Braille cell to
help me figure out where the dots go. I find I can still use both hands
to type this way and I've gotten used to thinking of the braille
character's dots and putting my fingers in those positions rather than
thinking like a traditional perkins typist. I don't know. Perhaps both
braille modes would be nice...

Hello, so I heard about the icon's thumb braille mode, but it doesn't make sense. To me it would make sense if braille dots 1 2 3 were keys 7 4 1 and dots 4 5 6 keys 9 6 3 then you could use both hands and 6 fingers to type on it, how can you do that with the current configuration? Maybe the icon
could offer both modes.
