It shouldn't matter what version of Audible Manager is installed because the
Manager takes you to a web page to determine what plugins are available,
they're not part of the program itself.

My guess is that most folks having problems finding the Levelstar devices in
the list have not upgraded their Audible Manager. It is a bit confusing
because the installer for the newer manager will prompt saying that they
already have version 5.0 and do they really want to uninstall the version they
have on their computer and replace it with the new one. If they take this
message literally they will cancel the installation thinking that they have the
latest Audible Manager when in fact they do not.

The audible package being referred to here is a package containing sample
audible content, and a link for new users to sign up and get a free trial. If
you are already a member of Audible, go to Audible Manager. press Alt + D to
get to the Devices Menu, and choose "Add New Device". You are taken to an
Audible download page with plugins for various devices. Arrow down to
LevelStar Devices and press the Space bar to check it. then Tab to the OK
Button and Select it. Once this is done, place your Icon in Disk Drive Mode,
Audible Manager should see it. Tab to the Mobile Devices view, and press the
Applications key. Choose Activate. You'll be asked for your Audible Username
and password. Tab to OK, and Select it to activate your device. When the
activation is complete, you are placed back in the Library view from which you
can choose items to add to the Icon.

    Hope that helps,
    Jenny

      Hi Larry,
I found no audible package. I am sure that it is my fault here. What
are the steps to get audible.com? I have been a member for years.

Hi Jenny. I went to "check for updates" in audible manager help and
was told my audible manager was up-to-date. There was no audible or levelstar
plug-in available.

Your audible Manager might need to be updated. Go to the Help Menu,
and do a Check for Updates. Then try it again. It should actually take you to
a website where you can select the plugin to install, and LevelStar devices
should be there, at least it was when I tried it this morning.

I went to the add device menu and checked the list in Audible
manager as per the help instructions and there is no levelstar or braille plus
device. Any help would be appreciated.
