yes you have answered my question. I think. Let us start at the very beginning. I did an alt d and went to add new devices and entered. I hit l to find level star and spaced to check it. I was asked to hit an okay button and i entered but it did not say okay. I did an alt 4 and closed audible manager and then was prompted to reboot which i did. Where or when do i hit a for activate device? By now you may have read my email directly to you and may have a better idea how to add content. Once you have activated your device, Choose an item from your library, go to the file menu and choose "Add to LevelStar Icon. Once the File Transfer is complete, exit Disk Drive Mode, and start up Bookshelf. If you do not have auto catalog update turned on, go to the menu, and manually choose to update your catalog. Then your audible content appears in your bookshelf. You can also add subscription based Audible content to the RSS reader by logging in to the Audible Website on your Icon, going to "My Library" chooseing an episode from a subscription based series, and chooseing the "Podcast it" link that appears below it. From there you're given a URL to paste in to the RSS reader. Does this answer your questions? There isn't currently a tutorial covering Audible. Probably a good idea, ey? Will i now find the audible page in work space? I am currently an audible customer. What steps do i take to download books? Is this information in your wonderful tutorials? I opened Audible Manager, press Alt + D for the Devices Menu, and chose "Add New Device". I was given an update components dialog that asked if I had an internet connection and wanted to continue, i chose Yes. LevelStar Devices was available between Iriver and Magellan. It's very definitely there, I just checked it on a second computer with an older version of Audible Manager. Are you following these same steps? ----- Original Message ----- From: Larry Lumpkin To: icon-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, June 24, 2008 5:33 PM Subject: [icon-discuss] Re: icon and audible Hi Jenny. I went to "check for updates" in audible manager help and was told my audible manager was up-to-date. There was no audible or levelstar plug-in available. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jenny Axler To: icon-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, June 24, 2008 7:21 PM Subject: [icon-discuss] Re: icon and audible Your audible Manager might need to be updated. Go to the Help Menu, and do a Check for Updates. Then try it again. It should actually take you to a website where you can select the plugin to install, and LevelStar devices should be there, at least it was when I tried it this morning. Any help would be appreciated.
