Hi all, We are with Bob in allowing an exception for the single-row tables. This keeps existing models working without issue, which has always been a key principle for IBIS, and I think should be preserved here, and not so easily discarded. I spoke directly with the AMI developer at IBM on this topic. IBM agrees with the stated positions of Bob, Cadence, and Sigrity in that the existing working format for the single-row Tables should be allowed going forward, and simply documented / clarified in the spec. I am in agreement with all of Bob's comments, except the treatment of the first column in each row. With my proposal, the format of single row tables and multi row tables are the same, and by treating the first column of each row as a "parameter", then is satisfies all of the DLL BNF rules. The alternative is to treat single row tables differently than multi row tables. I will accept the decision the IBIS-ATM, my real goal here is to not need to have context sensitive parsers in either the EDA tool, or models.
