I am still hung up on the question of are we allowing multi-type Tables or not. True, the current reserved examples may not need that, but we never know what we will need to invent in the future, and we never know what people might want to do under Model_Specific. So I am just thinking out loud now, without thinking through all the BNF related consequences, but I wonder if it was possible to simply treat the Type as a list. For example (putting aside the other issue of what the first column is), if we had a table with the following columns types: Integer, Boolean, String, Float, could we just say: (Type Integer Boolean String Float)? This would not violate the rule for not repeating anything, yet it would still define the type of each column in the Table. I am in agreement with all of Bob's comments, except the treatment of the first column in each row. With my proposal, the format of single row tables and multi row tables are the same, and by treating the first column of each row as a "parameter", then is satisfies all of the DLL BNF rules. The alternative is to treat single row tables differently than multi row tables. I will accept the decision the IBIS-ATM, my real goal here is to not need to have context sensitive parsers in either the EDA tool, or models.
