Just to through my coin into this off-topic thread: Currently, AMDs processors are the best choice for BeOS, even if you have to patch it to run. PIII have better support, but they are a bit slow in comparison (and therefore not the best choice anymore). BeOS/Dano has many timing issues under a (faster) P4, rendering it useless for many tasks like video playback (i.e. it reports my P4 2.6 GHz as -1600 MHz system). My Athlon XP BeOS system runs absolutely stable. If you don't have a stable system, the processor is the most unlikely source of that instability anyway. Bye, Axel.
