I think that the issue here was just thinking ahead a little bit.
Thinking "Gee - I can design this 15 ways. None seem better than
any others. But I could not build future feature X if I do it this way..."

This is exactly why I have required people to make R5 as is.
Because we all have designs and dreams. And no one's are the same
as anyone elses.
