Specially when EU uses day-month-year, making things like 01/02/1979 
ambiguous in europe when you don't know for sure.

I do sometimes disable it because it does a lot of calls to stat() and 
other stuff... polutes syslog when checking for fs-related things, and 
also floods the network with NFS.
(also the number of stat() is proportional to the number of open 
windows, while it should be constant (N for Desktop window), seems to 
be a bug in Tracker).
