Three things here strikes me: * Window/Preferences/Date and Time/Clock = 24 Hour * Window/Preferences/Date and Time/Date Order = Year-Month-Day Are there any reasons for why these settings are not default? If I'm not totally mistaken, that time/date format is used in most countries and follows ISO 8601. * Window/Preferences/Volumes Icons/Show Space Bars ON Volumes = validity Is there anyone who doesn't use that feature?
This actually raises another question... Can images be distributed with files added and modifications to /home/config without being considered a "distro"? In other words - can default configuration options be changed before distribution of a VMWare image or LiveCD without becoming a distro? Some things that come to mind are the regional settings (date/time formats), default keymap, default font/language (in the future when this is possibly an option - and assuming the fonts are already included with the base distro) Tracker settings, environment variables, etc? Maybe it's obvious that these are "modifications" - but I think there might be some room for flexibility here... or not? - Urias
