actually - if you go to www.realtek.com.tw at:
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloads1-3.aspx?series=16&;
Software=True

you will find the 8139 driver for beos r5....i don't see anything there 
about the author or crediting Be ... which doesn't mean that they wrote 
it themselves, but based on the array or OS's listed on that page it is 
evident that they care to support most OS's.
