First, sorry Dario that Haiku, Inc has not been very quick to respond.
For myself I do not spend much time on Haiku things these days
unfortunately. So I have not kept myself up to date on your work.

In general I agree with this sentiment. Haiku has been hovering in
this limbo of not quite Beta for a very long time. But this decision
actually requires someone else willing to do a contract for whatever
else is holding up the Beta (the package management system I guess?)
If no one is offering to do that, it is probably better that we employ
Dario while we can.

Perhaps further media kit improvements aren't very high on people's
priority list?

I think that area has been neglected for quite a while so it is good
to see work being done on it, though as I said I have not kept up to
date on the details.
