Most of the required work on the package management is setting up the
infrastructure on our servers for the packages repositories (with different
branches for beta and nightlies). It is not development work. Unfortunately,
our system administration team is even smaller than the developer team, and
with the package management system requirements this is really what's holding
the beta release.
I don't know if injecting money there is possible, as the sysadmins may simply
have no time available and hiring more sysadmins is a bit sensitive (we don't
want to give access to the servers to random people).

I have been offering my home system which is a 8 core AMD machine and my
network connection as a build slave for months. I haven't had any response
from any of the dev's. I have huge bandwidth on a fiber connection at 100mb.
If paying someone to do some sysadmin work, Dario not withstanding, would get
Beta out the door and Haiku inc has the money, what is everyone waiting for ?
I was curious if Dario would be willing to do other bug chasing etc work in
addition for a longer contract, IF Haiku inc had the funds.
